What happens in a counselling or therapy session?
Sessions provide a confidential, supportive space to talk openly about your thoughts and experiences. Your therapist will listen without judgement, helping you explore challenges, understand patterns and work towards positive change at your own pace.
How do I know if I need counselling?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, experiencing relationship difficulties or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can provide valuable support.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes, counselling is confidential and private. There are rare exceptions where there may be a risk of harm to yourself or others, but this would always be discussed with you openly.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your individual needs and goals. Some people benefit from a small number of sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. This can be reviewed regularly as you progress.
